Hey,
I would like to know what the status is on updates/patches for GOG purchases. I see Ditto pushing a steady stream of updates to Steam but those, including me, who purchased it via GOG are still stuck with release version. Also, no comment has been made here in the forums about the issue since roughly three weeks.
Now, I understand that the some features, e.g. Daily challange, and their implementation can cause problems and would possibly be the reason for the delay, but it seems to me -- by the patch notes Ditto leaves on Steam -- that little or no real effort is made to ensure updates transfer over to GOG and other vendors (in a timely manner or even at all). I am fully aware that Steam has such a dominating position and is where most revenue is made, but purchases made via alternative vendors should be equally recognised.
In my case, I have traditionally purchased games via Steam, but seeing that Gonner was also available on GOG for the same price (in DRM-free version, etc.) I decided to give it shot. Bought it pre-release as well -- which I normally do not encourage. Sadly, that decision has left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth; going back I would have probably made a different decision and went with Steam.
Would it be possible for you to issue Steam redeem keys for those who (verifyably) bought it through GOG (and other shops)? That would remedy the situation until updates trickle over (assuming they will). I know Humble bundle offers this for most (if not all) titles.
Thanks for making a great game in Gonner though, with an awesome soundtrack. Also developed by fellow Swedes which is cool.
