Hello,

I've been feeling really nostalgic and have wanted to get my hands on the Gobliins games for a while now. I was wondering if these are playable on a mac? I use Boxer, which is the Mac version of DOSBox, more or less.

Thanks.
You should be able to run it using the Mac version of SCUMMVM.
You can just run them via ScummVM, you don't need DOSBox. This pack is basically a bundle of the data files from the CD and floppy versions of the first three Gobliiins titles together with ScummVM. They work with ScummVM on any device that can run ScummVM. I haven't played through all of them yet but I can definitely start all of them on my Macbook.

You do, however, need to be able to run the GoG installer in some way. I have a Windows PC so this is not a very big deal for me; after installing you can just copy the data files over and add their directories as games in ScummVM. I don't know if the installer works on wine or if there is some better way for Mac users. Windows in a VM or something of the sort would work, of course.
Both ScummVM and Crossover worked for me. Of course, as the last post said, Crossover is required to install the games. Crossover ran flawlessly for me, except for a little bit of lag on Gobliiins 1. ScummVM works even better, with no lag on Gobliiins 1 at all.

DOSBox actually didn't run any of the games for me. Acted as if the game wasn't even there.

Yeah, it doesn't look like they even packaged the original DOS executables. You always run it in ScummVM. Frankly, it doesn't make much sense to run the Windows ScummVM executable that the GoG installer installs in Crossover if you can just download ScummVM for OS X.

It's good to know that the installer works, though.
I wonder why GOG didn't create a mac port of those games. Shouldn't be too hard, eh?
