The first screen after the starts, the screen where it looks like its loading something the game just stops. I have to alt tap and shut it down via the manager. Any ideas?

Did you have any difficulty with the installation? Did you try a fresh intall?
If yes, then it is possible that your file may have been corrupted, I would try to redownload your game.
I bought mine today and installed it, worked fine without issue.
