Ok my system can play all the latest games yet this runs terribly. But on another machine i have which is slightly older, it runs flawlessly
My specs are
AMD 64 4000+
Ge Force 8600GT
2Gb RAM
Onboard sound card
Everything is up to date and i even tried running in compatibility mode but still no luck.
Any ideas?

You're not the only one who has trouble with this game. I have to turn all the graphics settings down to the lowest in order to get a reasonable frame rate. This is a serious problem, since you need a longer draw distance to play some of the missions. The enemies can apparently see the whole map, so I am constantly being killed by stuff I can't see.
My specs are low for a modern computer, but far beyond the game specs.
