I've had some problems running this game. At first I had an error where the game would come up with an error message on startup, but after looking through the forum I found a fix to that. Now I have a problem where the game crashes after the status bar completes itself on the "Loading Giants" screen. I am using Windows XP so it comes up with the prompt "Send Error Report" or "Do not Send". After that happened I reinstalled the game and the first problem came up so I replaced the necessary files and that led to the same problem at the "Loading Giants" screen. I also installed the 1.5 beta patch but that didn't do anything. I haven't found any information about this issue, should I re-download the game or is there a fix for this problem?

Could you delete the errorlog.txt file in your giants directory, run the game once more, and post the contents of the new errorlog.txt? That will help a great deal in tracking down the source of the issue, and (hopefully) fixing it. Thanks!

As an initial observation, it looks like you're using the DirectX7 renderer... If you're comfortable with editing your registry, try going to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PlanetMoon\Giants
with regedit and changing the renderer key from 7 to 8

I'm not really sure about where that is located. Are you referring to something in the install location or somewhere else?
Also I am running DirectX 9.0c is the registry error something that happens in the install process?

I found regedit, but I am not sure which file under planetmoon/giants holds the information for the renderer key :/
