Well, apparently it seems impossible to run this game fullscreen in windows 10 (I've tried the fix -window on the shortcut's target, which apparently it fixed fullscreen on w8, and the classic Alt+Enter) anyone knows how to fix it?

Also I'm running it from the Galaxy client, but it doesn't work either when I run the game double-clicking the shortcut on the installation main directory, if that helps.

So, any kind of patch or something to fix it? Actually it seems that it tries to run it as fullscreen, since the whole resolution changes when the game is executed, but I have those annoying bars around it (obviously, since it runs in windowed mode XD)

Thanks in advance

Btw, english is not my first language, so if there is any kind of error or what I've written isn't clear enough, sorry and feel free to correct me :D

OK, I fixed it by running it with the -window flag and compatibility mode set to windows 8, maybe this can help someone! :D

I tried to start the shortcut file in wndowed mode like that:
"C:\...\Giants.exe"-window

If I click OK this is not accepted. It seems to register that -window as a part of the path, although it is ouside the quotation marks... Can anyone please help me with that?

Try running it from the cmd directly from the installation folder and putting something like

> Giants.exe -window

(No clue tho, your situation seems pretty weird :/)

EDIT: Have you tried putting the compatibility and the flag on the instalation file and not the shortcut?

the dx8 dll from gog support fixes the windows 10 fullscreen issue for me http://files.gog.com/support/giants_dlls.zip

but in return, the mouse sensitivity is off... very slow at times, very fast at others, regardless which sensitivity you set in the options

I just play it the way it is now, you get used to it

EDIT: oh, the DX8 plus the unofficial patch with framelimit 60 does the trick just fine for me. I think I used it that way before, but forget when dusting this game off once in a long while between the years...
