Hi there. I write here as I'm quite stumped. Giants wouldn't even launch for me. I read those threads here complaining about graphical issues, but didn't see such a problem mentioned.
And the problem is that upon launching the game I get a black screen and the game freezes and I have to do a hard reboot as I can't even Alt+Ctrl+Del out of it.
I tried to launch vanilla game, I tried to update it with GRM and Geforce3 patches, I tried to just install 1.497F patch, no cake.
I updated both DirectX and video drivers and tried to use compatibility mode. Nope.
So has anybody any ideas. I send a question to GOG support but it's already 2 weeks and no answer.
P.S. I'm running Windows XP SP 32-bit on Athlon 64 3500+ and with Radeon X800GT video card. Yeah, an old rig but this is good old games. Everything here should run on it.
