The game has multiplayer, but is there any way to get some coop on this? I'm on the last mecc mission, and (like in every mission) I'm basically going it alone, even though I have AI squad mates.

I know the tongue-in-cheek storyline sets it up so that the AI squadmates are expected to be useless, but they're worse than useless. I've been stashing them in remote areas and using them as "fire support", but that didn't work in the level where you have to claim your base from the "space bull", nor does it work just leaving them to defend my base while I round up the smarties.

My gaming friends would be a lot more useful than these AI fools. I can't be the only one who thought that, but did anyone with game modding skill actually act on that?

I've searched for something like this too, but I'm fairly sure there isn't any campaign coop option, sadly. :/
