Anyway, I played Giants: Citizen Kabuto and I think it's skipping videos or something. Nothing was making any sense and seemed to be jumping around. I start playing and within 10 minutes I have the following questions: Who are we? Why am I looking for this guy? Why is he so short and seemingly my boss? What are these monsters? Where did the monster that was chasing us go? Why are we suddenly out of the hole that we jumped in? Who are these hanging guys? Why is it a surprise that they are real?

The last two times a game seemed to not make any sense like this, it wasn't playing the FMVs, so is that what is happening here?

Everything's fine, the game simply is this crazy and random. It's just about a few guys who happen to be weird alien hightech warriors going on vacation and crashing on another planet in the process. Everything that matters develops over the course of the campaign. ^^
NO, I think the videos are skipping. The sys requirements say it will run on windows 8, but when I try to run the program, when it gets to the loading part, it just freezes and the screen flashes quickly and constantly. Maybe it's only a windows 8, 32 bit. I don't know, but it isn't running on my system.

If I were you, I'd compare your gameplay experience to some YouTube videos to see if you can confirm whether or not you are indeed missing something. If it turns out you are then maybe GOG support can help.
