Although I really enjoyed sonic generations I'm beginning to think this game might be a bit better. I've only played a little bit of it and all I hope is that it's not too short. Anyone know how long the game is?
It's 3 worlds of 6 levels each with a boss at the end of each world.
Once you complete all levels you unlock Hardcore mode, which has you restart a level upon death (no checkpoints) and once you complete that you unlock überhardcore which has you restart at lvl 1 upon death...
EAch level also has a time attack and a score mode.
If it does well enough, BFG will have the cash to make the extra levels they didn't manage to secure enough funding for through kickstarter (stretch goal).

Well that's good if they are gonna make more levels because we need more platformers on PC. But how many hours does it take to get through the game on your first play though do you think. In including replays or time attack.
First let me apologise:
I got the level number wrong.
Apparently 6 levels in the first world, 7 in the second and 10 in the third world means a total of 23 (20 levels and 3 boss levels).

After the initial few levels the game becomes quite challenging. So if you are aiming for a complete "all gems found" playthrough that can take many many hours.

Add to that that you need to have a minimum amound of Star-Ratings in a world's levels to unlock the boss level, you are looking at quite a bit of game time as you need to do more than just barely scrape through.
The levels are also all pretty long and feature multiple hidden routes and secrets.
Magmarock: the level design keeps getting better and better later. I haven't played past 2-6 because of a very annoying crash that keeps occurring, but so far I've had nothing but positive things to say about the game.
sonic generations is about speed
this is about platforming (purely)

but you will find similarity's in this game
its very reminding me of sonic 4 episode 2
mainly because the rip-off the background boss fights

and the punk persona firedash kinda remind me of a weak version of a boost attack
