this new beta version plugin works like a charm

Thanks to all of you guys, specially to ABaumher... this guy has a cold beer waiting if he decides to go to Spain :D
Yes, plugin works again :)

I don't know, where i should put this:

I've bought Dead Space Remake recently on Steam, and i have the old Dead Space since some time ago in my Origin account (also linked wird Galaxy) but not on Steam!

Now, the Dead Space Remake regognized in Galaxy as the old Game as combined with the Origin-Version (see screenshot)...

There's definitely a seperate entry for Dead Space (2023) in the GOG database already, so I'm not sure why Galaxy would identify your copy of the Remake on Steam as the 2008 version instead, unless GOG has accidentally associated its AppID with the wrong database entry.

As far as I know the Steam plugin just imports the AppIDs of your owned games from Steam and it's up to Galaxy to figure out which game entries those are. I don't know if there's a dedicated feedback thread or report form for incorrect game entries in Galaxy, but if there is you could ask them to check whether the Dead Space Remake AppID: 1693980 is linked correctly to the 2023 version in their database.

Yes, if i use "Add game manually" i can see the entry already.

I've wrote a ticket, maybe they fix it or update there "database" :D
Thanks for the updated plugin, it works fine for me too !

Thanks I've had some installed Steam games not showing up in Galaxy because I think they were classed as demo(incorrectly) and they are showing up now! Great work ABaumher
Yo o/

Version 1.0.5 Beta is out!

Achievements and playtime are being displayed again! You may need to click on the gear icon in the top left of the GOG client and then click on 'Sync' to see the changes (I think). Great job by @ABaumher for his work!!!

I hope the extension within the app will be fixed one day.
I switched to another app months ago because having Steam not work or having to find manual fixes all the time is just a no for me, not anymore.
The other app works perfectly the only reason why I would come back to GOG would be if they fixed the Steam integration for good especially because I own multiple games on the GOG Galaxy launcher so using another launcher to launch GOG Galaxy kinda defeats the purpose

lebowitz: Playnite handles duplicates too terribly for me to switch. Even with the duplicate plugin, it stills a lot to be desired compare to galaxy.

As for a temp fix, close galaxy (make sure all running processes are closed in task manager), replacing the file in this post and then disconnecting and reconnecting your steam account to galaxy should import your steam games.

Why didn't I hear about Playnite before? Just tried it out and I was blown away how easy the integrations were. It made me even more disappointed with GOG. AND it has CONTROLLER SUPPORT in fullscreen. CMON GOG!!!
I'm about ready to give up on GoG Galaxy 2.0. The sole reason I use it is for integrations so if they're not working then what's the point? I was able to find a solution for when Ubiosft Connect stopped working but with Steam broken (since fixed but for how long?) and no support for the EA app then GG2 is a waste of space. The only reason I haven't tried Playnite yet is because i'm hesitant to link all my accounts to a third party.

Perfectly understandable and I can relate, however, consider the fact that everything other than the Epic Games Store and Xbox integrations is from a third party, that's why this mess of broken integrations being handled by abandoned Github accounts is happening. As for Playnite, which I switched over to about 2 weeks after the Steam integration broke, it is indeed a third party and carries all the same risks. That being said, it also offers way more customizability, though at the expense of polish. Here're some snips of my current layout https://imgur.com/a/S3bEdaT, took me probably a total of a full day to tinker with it to my liking but it's lacking a few things, such as:

-Incorrect cover art by default, needing download of correct cover art through the IGDB
-Not carrying over playtime of Ubisoft Connect games

At the end of the day though, I can do the thing I primarily used GOG 2.0 for, launch all my games through one application.
