I'm using a Macbook Pro M1 with OSX Ventura, and when I launch Gog Galaxy it works normally at first, but if I leave it open in the background eventually I'll come back to a completely white screen and end up needing to relaunch the application. It's especially annoying when I've been playing a game and want to check if I've earned any achievements, but it's frustrating whenever it happens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Galaxy, and I just updated it to the newest version today, but the bug still happens. Does anyone know if there's a way to fix this?
Thank you.

Same issue as the OP here - has anyone found any solutions yet? I'm also on an M1 Pro Chip.
I've also been seeing this problem, but it's nothing new for me: it has been happening to me since the first day I downloaded Galaxy, which was years ago. (A decade? Could be!) It happened on every Intel Mac I've ever owned with Galaxy 1, and now it happens on this M1 Mac with Galaxy 2. (Only reason I downloaded 2 in the first place was the hope that it would fix this problem.)

Next time it happens, I'll post a process sample here, if I can get one.

I know that Steam uses writing the Steam store app as a punishment for programmers that don't measure up, and it shows. But Steam can get away with having a terrible app that everyone hates. GoG really can't.
Welp, apparently you can't post anything that long here, and you also can't include text files, just images. So there's no way for me to save a sample file for debugging. If anyone from GOG is paying attention, do feel free to message me and I'll help you out with some diagnosis.

Same here

2.0.72

1 Launch GOG on my Mac
2 Sleep the mac for a day
3 Gog Window is all white

Very unreliable. Worse than Steam - steam also HAD a white screen bug and resizing the window "tricked" the embedded web browser (the window) into rendering. They fixed that.

For GOG I must 1) realize it is broken 2) quit the application using the File Menu (no "x" button on a white window) 3) relaunch it 4) wait for it to update 5) realize I do NOT FEEL LIKE PLAYING ANYMORE, then quit GOG.
Same here -- Been using GoG and Galaxy since it launched. At least three different Intel iMacs (maybe four actually) and countless versions of MacOS. Most recently switched to an M3 Max MacBook Pro and Ventura.

At some point, Galaxy started doing this -- I leave my machine alone long enough, system goes to sleep and on return Galaxy is white screen. Can't even CMD-Q, or right click quit the app. Have to Force Quit app every time. Somewhat frustrating.

No idea if it's related or not, but Galaxy will rarely seem to update itself -- the updater fails during update process.

This is still very much not fixed

I can see at least two breaking problems.

1. The app has no UI unless launched from terminal via binary directly (this I can live with)
2 Even when UI works, the GOG main app can't connect to its Communications Service

I have completely reinstalled the app, which solves nothing.
Full clean install behaves in exactly the same way, even without any proxy / firewalls workig

Shame on GOG

That what we get when developers cut corners and use some browser crap over native applications.
GOG is also still an Intel binary, for which no Excuse can be made. Its not 2020 for 4 years already

Here is the log regarding GOG inability to communicate to its Service which is launched as an Application Daemon:

Probably another manifestation of the "Force Quit" issue…
