Dear GOG, I like your GOG Galaxy app but I was disappointed to see that it is not Linux compatible and there is no Linux version. Please release a Linux version for Linux Mint.

are you OK with their telemetry and storing your personal usage data from all other game launchers on gog servers?
are you OK to have security risks of giving full access to all of your gaming accounts to gog?

I thought Linux users would be more careful about their privacy and risks involved.
This would be most welcome, Linux gaming needs all the support it can get, it will never grow otherwise.

As a lot of GoG titles are older games they can run on Linux via WINE or some emulator but it would be great to have something that just works out of the box so to speak without having to mess around with scripts or installers via Lutris.

I agree just target Linux Mint use that as the base for GOG Galaxy.

I see. New generation of Linux users here, completely ignorant to Linux ecosystem and Linux life style. It is impossible to target [insert any distro here] because all Linux distros have same core and the only difference is their look and feel, achieved by 3d party tools such as desktop managers, compositors (created outside of Linux distro). Asking for an app that will target your wallpaper is not very reasonable.
Wine works out of the box (granted you can spend 5 minutes to install all DLLs and Vulkan once, then just use that prefix for all of your games).
Now, Lutris. It used to run windows games. You're asking for Linux app and it will run Linux games (obviously). So what exactly do you expect from gog launcher? to run windows games as well? do you think they can create something like Proton? Maximum they can do is to allow you to run your own wine (as launch parameter) but still you will have to manage your wine properly. Nothing prevents you form doing it even today :) you don't need gog launcher to use your wine.

I'm still begging you, Dear GOG, to release a native GOGGalaxy.
Since some times, I started buying on Steam (and stoppoing buying on GOG) for the simply reason of having a cloud saving service for linux users (I get tired to do backup for my games'saves) ...
