Ive been having issues with the GOG client that while I have workarounds for are still frustrating.

I recently tried to redownload Witcher 3 (and in the past cyberpunk) and once the download got to 40-60% my PC would completely crash.

I tried normal install on the game page as well as downloading the files manually and regardless of download method the pc would crash.

First I thought it was the pc so I checked for updates to components, re-installed network drivers as it was only crashing during download and not gameplay (was playing battlefield beforehand for over an hour with no issues).

Eventually I tried downloading the files via browser and all the offline files downloaded just fine and I was able to install the game.

Things I have tried:

Reinstall GOG
Reinstall network drivers
Update drivers for pc components if available

Initially I thought it was maybe drivers but downloading directly from browser works perfectly fine.

Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?

I have the same issue with GOG Galaxy, I’ve tried rolling back to older versions of the client, deleting everything on the pc Inc GOG Galaxy registry entries and reinstalling and even rolling back Nvidia drivers to no avail. Did you ever find a fix for this? I have put a ticket in with support but have had no reply from them.

Currently having this exact issue trying to download Cyberpunk 2077. I played and beat this game on gog when it released with 0 issue, never had this problem before with any game but as of now anytime I try to re-download the game through the Galaxy client my PC hard crashes. No blue screen or anything. Noticed some posts about this from over a year ago, someone at GoG really needs to figure this out.
