I'm so glad that we've finally got the ability to use cmd parameters and add additional executables. Galaxy 2.0 is really close to becoming to perfect launcher. All that it needs now is the ability to manually merge and split games, a little bit of smoothing out the rough edges, and it will be PERFECT.
well that and to stop downloading updates while we play our Fucking games!
Did you receive the update via the client or by an executable? As so far my install hasn't updated.

In my case, it was an client update when I started galaxy.

I am not at home right now so I cannot check. But IIRC there was a setting to prevent downloads while in game. Does the setting bnot work or are you talking about Client updates?

I noticed this a few times. It seems as if sometimes the update arrives for some later than for others. Wait a bit and try to restart Galaxy to see if it notifies you about the update.
Regarding the topic:
Yes, I also like the new update wuite a lot but there's one important thing they really should change. If you hide a game on one platform it will be hidden for every platform. So in case I'd like to hide all my Steam games I now already own DRM-free on GOG and therefore don't "need" anymore - that's not possible the regular way (I figured out a workaround to do this by using tags but it's just a workaround and not a true solution).

Does anyone know if there is a way to add new / additional shortcut to my games. For instance if i want for my library to show both anno 1404 and expansion anno 1404-venice?
When trying to add game manually it lists Anno 1404 gold edition, and interestingly Anno 1404 base game, but not Venice expansion

I'm especially liking the new Subscriptions feature. I just loaded all of the Game Pass for PC games and it's showing them in a much better format than the Xbox Beta app. GOG Galaxy just gets better all the time.

I don't own the game or the expansion so could you tell me how you would normally launch the expansion? If it is a seperate executable you have to call you could add this to the game as additional executable since yesterdays update.
it only stops updates while you play gog games... playing 3rd party games i.e, Steam etc = Gog goes ahead and downloads in the background

this was reported back on day one and Gog still has not done nothing about it.

Yes as of yesterday you can add it as a separate executable to to base/existing game, but you cant have separate cover or icon for expansion. Before this launcher could only start base game, and if you wanted to start expansion you would have to navigate to game folder and launch it through exe

Ah, now I understand what you are trying to do. Add the expansion as seperate game and you cannot find the expansion listed in the database, right? This can be easily done. The problem is that the expansion so far does not seem to be in the database (might be added later if you submit a bug report) but you can still add it if you like. Just add Anno 1404 and link the executable to the base game. Then add 1404 Gold and link the executable to the expansion. Now you edit the one you linked to the expansion and change the title and if you like even some of the pics. It's not perfect but it should work.

Yes,that is it.I have tried it this way before and it works in this particular case. However there more problems regarding other games.First of all database almost never list expansions for any game so that is a lot of bug reporting :).Like Starcraft. It only lists base game and no gold edition so there is no way of adding expansion this way.To solve this problem entirely i think we have to wait for option to merge and split games,or duplicating exe to library or gog needs to do a lot of database updating.

By the way who knows what database GOG uses?Maybe we could update database ourselves?

Ok,i found out it uses IGDB as database and it seems as the problem is on GOG's side.IGDB lists all Starcraft games and expansions but on GOG expansion is gone as in many other cases. It lists Starcraft: Insurrection though.

Yeah, there' still a long way to go but this was a great update.:)
I'm not a fan of subscription models, but this has allowed for Steam Family Sharing games to be added to the library, awesome stuff!
