I'm having the same "Installation Failed (E9)" error when trying to install Soma. When it was downloading, speeds were super slow. My internet speed is normal (ran a speedtest). This is my first GOG purchase and this is not inspiring me to make a 2nd.

Same problem here for me too in GOG Galaxy Client. Never had these problems before, but its so annoying - I have to download70 GB and can't check in everty 5 minutes for the next 3 or so hours...

You'd think we'd hear something by now, even on reddit people are having the same exact problems. I've even gotten a relative that lives on the other side of the country to try installing both standard and offline versions of the same game to the same effect so IDK guys.

GOG posted on their Twitter that it's a known issue and they're working on it. So hopefully they fix it soon.

Same here, preordered ghost Runner and now i am waiting for the download to finish, hope i can do it overnight at my buddies place tonight, i only have ISDN Internet at my home

They said it was fixed on twitter. Nothing is fixed. It lasted 10 minutes and went down again.
Got to 58 gb and failed again. FT

Same issue for me from I believe 2020-11-08 to today, 2020-11-11, as to an apparently available update for SOMA:

"Update failed (E9). GOG.com servers returned an unknown error."

Has probably been going on longer; just didn't install/update anything earlier... but three days to fix a server seems a bit significant already anyway for an outfit at the scale of GOG.com.

EDIT: FWIW finally worked for me after 3+ days, and following contact with GOG support, although I don't know if that played a role.
