I have a rather large Steam Library and a few weeks ago it quit working. The games would show up in the Steam Tab but never Populate into the Installed Section of Galaxy. Here's how I fixed it:
1. Delete all Plugin Storages of STEAM
* C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage\plugins
* C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\webcache\xxxxxxxxx\ Delete entire steam folder from this location
* in your Home Folder go to AppData\Local\GOG.com\Galaxy\plugins\installed\ Delete entire steam folder from this location
2. VERY IMPORTANT! You need to wait AT LEAST 24 hours before attempting to reload and integrate your steam files into Galaxy. 72 hours is best. You can use Galaxy as usual but DO NOT attempt to re-integrate until the 3 days is up. This will allow the GOG servers to catch up with your local choice, if you don't wait you will be loading back in the same corrupt file and it wont wok.
3. If you haven't done so by the end of 72 hours restart your computer and open Galaxy.
4. Log into your steam account via the Galaxy plugin. WAIT IF Galaxy has finished loading your steam library but it still has NOT populated to your Installed games in Galaxy, THEN select Sync Integrations and wait. DO NOT EXIT OR FORCE QUIT GALAXY - doing so will leave you with a different version of a broken steam integration.
5. If all has gone well, you will notice all of your steam files are now showing up in the Installed Tab. As you deleted and cleared your settings for these files on both your local machine and on the GOG.com servers, any custom icons, sort options or tags will be cleared and will need to be re-applied.
Hope this helps someone - it was driving me crazy. Of course my issue started AFTER I got over 2k games tagged and sorted. I believe this entire issue stems from clicking Sync Integrations, thinking the program had locked up as it was taking forever, and it was then force quit. This caused a corrupt file both on my machine and GOG.com servers. I was NOT waiting 24 hours, and it was NOT working. When I decided F*ck It, I guess I'll remove steam from galaxy. After 4 days of it being such a pain I followed the above steps again and as the steam integration had been deleted from the servers it didn't load in an old corrupt file and has worked fine since.
