GOG Galaxy 2.0 is still a hot steaming pile of shit covered garbage!!!!

Steam for my Steam games! GOG Galaxy 1.x for GOG!!!

2.0 showed me games i dont own, because strangers may be playing them games. I dont care what other people do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EVERY PAGE LOOKS THE SAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONLY THE SEIZURE INDUCING DARK MODE !!!!!!!!!

NOT INTUITIVE AT ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT CAN EAT SHIT !!!!!!!!!!!
no... tell us what you really think ;)

not that it matters because gog doesn't read this forum anymore
I was pissed off when i wrote this. obviuosly...... What happened was i could not stop gog galaxy from updating to 2.0. I hate the galaxy app which looks nothing like the web page [www.gog.com] which is easy to get around on & use. I want separate apps for separate accounts.

I use Playnite for Multi-Platform Management.
(Eg. [do i own (license (spelled wrong?)) this or that game... ]......... )

What we need is Galaxy 3.0 [ 1.0 + 2.0 = 3.0]

Main Feature is Themes. Classic Web site & 1.x App Book Shelf Theme !.......

https://www.gog.com/forum/general_beta_gog_galaxy_2.0/how_to_keep_galaxy_v12_client_and_avoid_the_forced_v20_beta_update

I've had one occasion where I accidently clicked the wrong thing and the un-cancelable update starts up but otherwise I've had no issues - get an update splash every so often (becomes less frequent the longer the client is on) but they can be dismissed. Have the client set to pickup where you last left off instead of defaulting to the store I've found faster loading on my end but that's just me I think?

Hope it helps.

If I had one gripe is that its a fairly bright GUI, dark mode shoulda been made for it ;_;

EDIT: make sure you get the version 1.2.67.58 installer, last stable release in the 1.2 series.

Awesome! Yes I love using Galaxy 1.2.67.58. Sadly, that is the last build of 1.x.

And, Unfortunately, (now) it seems to be unable to install games or dowload offline installers.

So i am having to use the web site and manually dowload install files.
It will keep track, launch games, and cloud saves.

UPDATE : GOG Galaxy 1 FTW! Is able to install and download.

The issue was fixed (long time ago) and has worked great since.

I never updated this post....
