Hi there, I have steam integrated with GOG galaxy and in turn have the STEAM version of Baldurs gate 3, My friend has the GOG Version of Baldurs gate 3, I can launch baldurs gate from GOG Galaxy with zero issues, however when my friend sends me a game invite via GOG Galaxy and I click accept I dont join his game, instead GOG Galaxy directs me to buy Baldurs Gate 3 again??

I cant see why this is doing this? I thought that the GOG Galaxy platform allowed cross play a bit more easily compared to entering his server ID every single time?
1st this post belongs in the BG3 forum as it has zero to do with Galaxy

2nd to play against your mates online both of you need to be signed into your linked larian accounts

Please Re-Read the post the fact that I can launch steam Baldurs gate via Galaxy means that the steam account is linked to GOG, So I would have thought that because GOG Galaxy Recognises that the game is installed that a game invite through GOG Galaxy would direct the game itself to the installed game and not to buy the game again, So tell me how is that NOT a Galaxy issue?
now read my answer again, its your linked larian accounts that plays multiplayer... thats by design and nothing to do with Galaxy

step 1 = your mate makes a new game with whatever setting then presses the copy ip and sends you a file with the code... that is the correct way
