It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Johny.: snip
I can confirm that the client is working again on Windows 7, but it seems that there is currently something wrong with the servers (see posts above).

Just wondering what exactly prevented the previous versions from running on Windows 7 and 8 / 8.1?
I have the same problem.
Same problem. Windows 8.1 and gog galaxy won't launch.
It seems to be working again...
I have the same problem on windows 10
And the gog games can't start too.
I believe it was DRM free and that the games can run without the client.

I got in again, but had to re-log into Galaxy and it had to detect all the games again and all the integrations got disconnected. Also seems like I have to manually re-add installed games as Galaxy forgot about them. Luckily, I'm mostly using Galaxy as a downloader but I can see how somebody who uses mostly Galaxy could be very annoyed by that.

I got some message about "local database not being able to connect or something" when I logged in again which I assume is the reason for the reset. WELP.

Johny.: Hi,

We’d like to inform you that we have an update regarding your problem.

The following link contains an updated GOG GALAXY version that will:
- Fix a bug where GOG GALAXY failed to launch or update on Windows 8.1 and Windows 7
- Fix a bug where GOG GALAXY failed to launch, claiming it was already running on another account
- Opt you into GOG GALAXY "public beta" updates

https://content-system.gog.com/open_link/download?path=/open/galaxy/client/2.0.42.21/setup_galaxy_BETA_2.0.42.21.exe

What that means is that you’ll be getting updates with the newest features and patches that we’ll be releasing to the users. You have the possibility to opt out by disabling this setting yourself in the app settings (“public beta” checkbox), however we recommend that you refrain from doing so until the next GOG GALAXY update, that will contain the fixes included in this patch.
If you are still on Windows 7 we recommend that you update to the newest version of Windows.

Please respond and let us know whether Your problem has been resolved! :)
I have reinstalled GOG with your version of Client and it still doesn't launch (it has problems with : C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll )

No, GoG is installed on NVME SSD, the same as operating system. And everything in my PC (besides GPU, have mercy miners on me) where bought less than six mounts ago. GoG is the only app I have problem with (and it started with GoG update or Windows Update, I am not sure now, because it is over a month since when I last launch GoG).
I guess it could be a permission issue but we can test for that at least

try these two basic steps [see images] run as & change default to E... if there is some problem with your drivers then doing these should work around it before you have to make major changes

I DISABLED Windows Sandbox and Galaxy (Along with some other stuff I had problems with) started working flawlessly again. Try this I guess.

To be clear, I am IT guy, naturally I have tried to run it as Administrator. I have also tried with default browser. It did not change anything.
