On starting GOG the message

GOG Galaxy error
Connection to Communication Service was lost and could not be restored! GOG Galaxy will now shutdown.

It doesn't matter if you try to start a game or not, the error appears after about 4 seconds.

Any thought about the problem please?

same problem here running macOS 10.15.5 with a new GOG Galaxy 2.0 install. Have tried just about everything mentioned in other posts, but no luck. Too bad. Was going to buy a bunch of new games, but now I'm glad I didn't. The lack of a response from GOG is not a good sign either. :(
