So the connection has been sluggish these days here where I am (southern UK) - possibly because of my ISP not coping well with all the people quarantining. The old GOG Galaxy has huge problems updating, the downloads stop or fail after taking forever to get a few MB, so I thought I might just try the new 2.0, see if it was better. Unfortunately, it's not; the installer, once launched, starts the "downloading" phase and never goes beyond 0 MB!

I get the impression that there's something flawed with how the downloaders try to access the data. Yes, the connection is a bit slow and unreliable, but ultimately I can still watch videos on Netflix or YouTube, or download games with Steam. A 200 MB download should be nothing. Yet it doesn't advance at all. Is there anything I can do to help this work better?

From Southern California and having the same anemic download speeds (max 0.8 MB/S).

Meanwhile, streaming services and Steam work fine. It's just Galaxy that's slow. On something like Divinity OS II I feel like I could walk to Poland, get the game, and walk back before it would download!
