I've been playing Baldur's Gate (the first one) Enhanced Edition lately. So I fire up GoG and start play from there. When I get done, sync fails with a "cloud too busy" message. Even when it says it's synced up, after I quite GoG and start again, it's lying. I played for about six or eight hours yesterday. GoG tells me the last time I played was five days ago, and I've got a total of six hours in the game, which is nonsense. More like 46 at least. It's not tracking achievements either.

What should I do to correct this?

Based on my experience: Launch the game in windowed mode and check if the "play" button is grayed out. If it is, Galaxy should update your time played. The client sometimes fails to register an active session and as a result won't track your game-time. I've noticed this issue for years and had to launch titles usually twice in order to track gameplay. In my case, it was either patched (after having been in touch with support for months), resolved through an OS update or a little bit of both.

Also make sure your firewall is set up properly.

Tried your solution. Started the game, switched to windowed mode, quit, started it again, played a while, and when I quit, sync worked fine. Then I played again, and got the same "cloud too busy" message. It seems the cloud is semi-permanently too busy. :-(
