Before Galaxy 2.0, if no internet connection was available or the galaxy servers were not responding (like it is happening right now), at least Galaxy would start normally and you could launch your games, albeit without the online capabilities.

However, with Galaxy 2.0, the client simply won't start if there is any issue connecting to the central server. This seems like a major step back from the previous version. Is there any way to launch Galaxy 2.0 in offline mode?

Same her this has to change or at least give us a good way to go back.
That's strange, because during the large outage that GOG.com had over the last 48 hours, I found I was able to launch any-game via GOG. It just wouldn't sync cloud saves immediately...

Was Galaxy already opened before the outage? Because, apparently, the issue is opening Galaxy up if the servers are not reachable, otherwise it works fine.

I have also noticed (following the advice on other threads yesterday) that you are able to launch Galaxy in offline mode if you disconnect your computer from the internet. However, the same is not possible if you have a connection up but for some reason you cannot contact the Galaxy servers.

I see, that might have been a factor. I had Galaxy already open in my case but it was unable to contact the server. So all my metadata disappeared and my cloud saves wouldn't sync. But Galaxy was definitely open before the outage...
I seen in another thread you can launch from the game folder. I couldnt launch from the start menu either because on 2.0 I guess they start it first?
