I don't know what caused it, but recently, after having no problems, Galaxy 2.0 has quit loading. I can see in the process tab of Windows 7's Task Manager that GalaxyClient and GalaxyClientHelper are both running, but several hours can pass without anything happening, and both still sitting in the process list, taking up processor cycles and memory.

If there's anything else you need to know, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Not sure if it has something to do with GOG GALAXY 2.0 requires Windows 8 or newer. So an update might have broke something and it will no longer work on windows 7.

On a side note i would recommend upgrading your OS either way as Windows 7 is dead and will no longer be getting updated.

I know W7 is losing support, but I will not be updating the system for a variety of reasons, including the age of the computer, the fact that I hate W8 and W10, and updating to Linux would make most of my games unplayable.

If something newer is needed, it would be nice to have a message to that effect rather than a memory wasting program I can't use.

Maybe it is worth a try to start fresh

1) Uninstall Galaxy 2.0
2.) make sure nothing is left in %appdata%\local\gog.com
3) delete everthing in %programdata%\gog.com
4) reinstall Galaxy 2.0

Otherwise, I suggest opening up a support ticket via mantis2.gog.com
