Many of us may have multiple editions of a game that Galaxy doesn't seem to merge by default. For example, I own Strife Veteran Edition but I also own Strife for DOS (since it comes with it as an extra), and I want them to be merged under the same game, but they aren't. The ability to manually merge and split games should be something that contributes to the level of customization found in Galaxy 2.0
