Text that can be attached to a game, like a tag or rating are. Accessible as a simple .txt page launched from a "Notes" button, perhaps next to the Ratings one.

Useful for storing the URL of guides, of mods, notes about playing such as to-do lists ("do the flippy-floppy quest next when playing again" or "next mod to level is Primed Shotgun Ammo Mutation"), reminders about our controls schemes and other personal settings, notes about unsolved bugs ("option menus crash due to conflict with Razer"), writing down passwords, etc..

I don't think that teeming millions will flock to this feature with great cries of merriment and tears of overwhelming joy. But OTOH it's just opening a locally-stored .txt file, so heh.

Thanks.

+1 on this. Leaving notes like you mentioned but also some notes where you were last at for RPG games would be awesome. Not sure why notes were never added, should be simple enough just a decision on store in db or txt file needs to be made...
+1

Would be really nice. I started Pushover again and it would be nice to add the codes/my progression to a txt file which could be cloud saved by gog so that I can start there where I left the last time on any PC.
For me this also is a "must have". For me GOG Galaxy is almost perfect. I can live with the fact that it does not synchronize tags with the website, but to not being able to write notes to a game really bothers me.
I don't want to write everything to the tags, which is not their purpose, but currently the only way.. which also have their size limits .. I would be able to write down if I found some important notes in a review or comment, like for example how to run the game with a better resolution, how to install a language patch, what should be considered when playing the game, some good tips, or just my experience when I already played the game and have to postpone it or many many other reasons to write a note..
I can not understand why it is so hard to just add a f****g note field ... neither Steam is available to do that nor GOG. Why?? As a software developer I can tell you, compared to the other features GOG Galaxy has, adding a note field would be almost no effort...
Please add a way to write some notes to the games!
+1, just desparatly looked for an option to do that. My use case in addition to all the others already mentioned: when you manually add a (free) game which is not installed but can be downloaded from the developers website, it would be nice to be able to add the URL to that webpage.
This would be a really nice feature, I support the idea.
+1 from me too
plus 1 from me as well, I need this to remind me of some things in some games, like on the game The wheel of Time the quicksave is not shown on the normal save list and so I need to press F6 to quickload, but because I forgot after not playing for a few hours, I started the game from the beginning, because I thought my saves were gone! So a note on the game reminding me of this would be awesome.
