When downloading a game via GOG Galaxy 2.0 my 1 year old computer starts lagging. I get a lag every 2to5 seconds a it's really anoing. I tried a tip of seting up a number of processor cores, but it helped only fo a while. I had this same problem nearly a year ago, but it got better after a month or so. Now I'm downloading Cyberpunk to play it again and it's a pain in the ass rally.

Weird is, that I never had this problem on my 8 years old notebook which I'm still using.

well I assume your 8 year old system was smaller so didn't take as long to scan but a lag every few seconds would be because of a script running in the background... try updating Galaxy to one of the stabble builds that don't run the store adds during game cycles
