My pi-gole dns server shows over 53 000 requests per day to notifications-pusher.gog.com
Unfortunately I can't attach a JPG or PNG file because I'm getting "Wrong file format" error. But still OVER 53 000, I repeat more than 53 000 requests per day!!!!! One every 1.5 sec. And I don't even play or something. The GOG client just sits in the tray bar, spamming requests.

when you goto Gog forum this week there should be "we are having issues tag" translation they lost their server or turned it off to transfer it... in any event the site stopped working and the forums have 100s of new spam bot accounts

the report you got is correct and normal when these things happen

also you can only post .jpg of small size not .png or any other type... thats anytime
I discovered this is still a thing today... not as bad, but still..

I set-up a Pi-hole on my whole network yesterday, and "notifications-pusher.gog.com" is clearly at the top of domains hit.

In less than 24 hours, and even though my PC was off through the night, (and GoG was closed at times to test) it was hit over 6700 times, and sits at the top alongside another domain that is, in this case, a legitimate 24/7 hits (NAS monitoring, I hid which brand).

Why is GOG Galaxy so aggressive? I run Steam, Epic, Playnite, Discord, Slack, at all time on this PC, and none of those are even breaking the top 10 in either permitted or blocked.

What's going on?
