When I looked up the article on failed cloud syncing, I saw there are no current solutions. I found one possible solution (of no doubt countless solutions still to be discovered):
War for the Overworld failed to sync for an evening, despite several GOG Galaxy restarts.
When I quit Galaxy for the last time, I went into task manager to make sure it was closed. I found GalaxyCommunicationsService still running, and ended it.
I opened GOG Galaxy again, and the game synced without a hitch.
I can't reproduce at the moment - only just found this out - but GalaxyCommunicationsService seems to consistently remain, when I quit the GOG Galaxy client.
Have anybody else experienced this, and/ or can you try it out and see if it works? Would be nice to add it to the support article, if it's an actual solution, and not just me being lucky.
