i closed it, then deleted every folder of gog or galaxy i could find, i then downloaded the installer and reinstalled it.

then re-added all the integrations and edited the rockstar and ubisoft one to work

everything was running fine, until it asked me if id like to update. it doesnt seem to recognize that it has the latest version installed
Same problem here. Trying to install it sends me errors while trying to remove old files. Trying to remove it myself also end with a bunch of errors.
Hey everyone,

Some of our users are indeed experiencing difficulties with updating their GOG GALAXY. Rest assured, the appropriate team is currently investigating the issue.

If you are one of the affected, please turn off GOG GALAXY completely, by going to the top left corner's cogwheel and pressing "Exit". Next please make sure that GOG GALAXY (or any related processes) aren't still running in the background (if so, close them by selecting "End task"). You can do this via Task Manager (use the combination of WIN key+R and type: taskmgr)

Next, please download the GOG GALAXY Webinstaller (the big DOWNLOAD button).

Lastly, please "install" GOG GALAXY by using the Webinstaller. This will make the installer update your GOG GALAXY and overwrite any possible damaged files.

Once you turn GOG GALAXY back on you should have the newest update available and no changes will be made to your games or library (you won't have to re-import the games etc.).

That worked ... but I still got errors (pic attached).
There was a Galaxy process running under some xbox thing/process/checker/whatever. Had to scroll right down to spot it.

I submitted a bug report, but I don't believe this suggested solution would correct the behavior. Seems like the Hotfix released is bugged. That being said I don't believe anyone reviews my bug reports. I have three submitted total in the last 12 months and they are still open.
