I cannot uninstall GOG from my computer, as the title states. I have tried every method. Yes, including that one. No matter which way I try to uninstall it, I get the same popup: "Setup has detected that GOG is still running." It tells me to close it. I have checked task manager, and found that there a few background processes, but I cannot end these. If I do, they simply restart a second later. Advice?

1. In GOG Galaxy, click the cogwheel in the top left and choose Settings, then General. Make sure "Launch GOG Galaxy at system startup" is unchecked. Exit GOG Galaxy afterwards.
2. Open Windows Services. Easiest way to get there is probably to press Windows logo + R on your keyboard, type services.msc into the box, then press Enter.
3. Find all services related to GOG Galaxy. It should be just GalaxyClientService and GalaxyCommunication. Double-click each one, set Startup type: Disabled, then click the OK button.
4. Restart your system.
5. Try uninstalling again.

Sad that we need to use windows to uninstall this. Guess the devs never thought we'd have cause to.
