I have well over 400 games in my GoG library.
But for some reason, even without any filters, GoG Galaxy only shows me 9 of them.
It doesn't even recognize the previously installed (using Galaxy 1.2) titles even if I point straight to their installation folder.

I was a member of the 2.0 Galaxy beta and this has been the reason I reverted to the previous version. Now the new update comes out, but this problem persists.
No posts in this topic were marked as the solution yet. If you can help, add your reply
Is it just in the Galaxy client or is it on the website aswell?
If it's only in the client. Have you made sure to do a clean install of the client? Uninstall, run something like ccleaner and then install it again?
Post edited April 29, 2020 by ELFswe
Just in the client. The website shows them all.

I uninstalled Galaxy, scrubbed all traces of it and reinstalled it again.
The same 9 appeared again. None of the others.

When I try to download and install the game via the galaxy installation file, Galaxy 2.0 points me to the store page to buy the game.

I just updated my client (Theia Update) and it now shows that I own 0 games and have 0 installed. If I try to get it to recognise the games installed in it's own folder the client says 0 Gog games detected.

Same here. Games installed before or via separate download are not recognized by the current version of GoG Galaxy even though most of them were installed through previous version of the Galaxy client.
After today's update the problem persists despite clean reinstall.
What is the point of a launcher that can launch games bought from other companies, but not their own?

This may sound like something obvious, but are you 100% sure you're logging into the same account?

Edit:
Can you see your games in the Orders History if you go there directly from GOG Galaxy 2 ?

I've had the same issue for months now. Purchases will show up in the store and on my order history but do not show up in the client as a playable game. I submitted a ticket to GOG but it's not really gone anywhere other than them taking my logs and having me delete some files that didn't help. Other people are having the same issue but they've had a few version updates since I've had this issue and it still isn't fixed.

This has been their response on the ticket that I opened:
[i]This is a follow-up to your previous request #542403 "Complete GOG library is mis..."

Sorry I have been busy and did not see this e-mail until now. I opened
up another ticket. Sorry for the duplicate. Still having the same
problem. I attached all of my logs to the ticket below with
screenshots.

Hello,

Please shutdown Galaxy, and remove storage folder that can be found here:
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy
You can access the directory using the Run... window (WinKey+R key combination) and entering:
%programdata%\GOG.com\Galaxy
Then please launch Galaxy again and let me know if you are able to find your games :)
Best regards,

No it doesn't work. I've done that at least 10 times. I updated the following tickets with everything that I've done:
https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/requests/602948?product=galaxy

https://mantis2.gog.com/view.php?id=34343
The problem wasn't solved.

The problem is that all my games that have been added to my account before jan 2, 2020 do not show up in my GOG library through the client. They show up on the web store and my purchase history but do not populate in GOG Galaxy 2.0 client. They work in the 1.2 just fine. It is something on your end that isn't associating the software that I have purchased in my account with the client.

Hello,

In such case please try making a clean install of GOG GALAXY.

First uninstall GOG Galaxy by running the unins000.exe file located in the GOG Galaxy installation folder (by default C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG GALAXY).

Then make sure that following folders are also removed:
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com
C:\Users\All Users\GOG.com
C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\GOG.com\Galaxy\Configuration
where *username* should be your Windows Account Username.
You made need to show hidden files and folders in the "Folder and search options", if you haven't done so already.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files

Restart your computer. Then download the latest version of GOG Galaxy from our website:
http://www.gog.com/galaxy
and run the installation as administrator.
Best regards,

If you actually read the other tickets I’ve done this multiple times as well. You clearly aren’t reading what I have done. I’ve uninstalled the client multiple times, deleted the folders. I even cleared out the registry entries for anything GOG related. I even did it again for the sake of insanity. It is something on your end that is not working. It’s frustrating that I’ve got to repeat myself and type all of this out again. I’ve added screenshots to those other tickets to show what is going on. And then you take days to get back to me with stuff that I’ve done multiple times. Read the other tickets please.

Hello,

Please let me know if you are able to find these games in "all games" tab, as I assume the problem is that the games are missing from "GOG.com" list.

No they don’t show up in my library at all. Read the older tickets.

Hello,

Please report this bug via our bug-reporter:

>Open GOG GALAXY 2.0 and click the cog icon located in the top left corner, select “Report issue” and fill in the form to send a report.
Please note the “Public” report may be available for other users, so please don't put any personal information.
That will allow our Devs to track the issue and directly contact you if necessary.

I already did this months ago and haven’t heard anything back. I even updated it recently:

https://mantis2.gog.com/view.php?id=34343

Again, you clearly didn’t read any thing that I have done.

Hello,

Our GOG GALAXY Team is investigating the problem. I'll let you know once the issue is fixed, or if we need some additional information.
I appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience caused while we are looking for a solution.

Just in case please note that the GOG GALAXY is not necessary to download and launch your game.
You still can download your game, however you need to download it directly from the website.
Just open your account:
https://www.gog.com/account
click the game and the look for the installer under "Download offline backup game installers"

Less than helpful...
I've got exactly the same issue.
I've received the "Your GOG GALAXY 2.0 application may not be up to date. " e-mail, then installed newer version on top of the one I had, then my library became empty.
On the gog.com website everything is fine, I have access to all my games and stuff, it's the 2.0.15 client that's broken.

EDIT:
In my case, uninstalling GoG completely, ten removing GoG directory from both ProgramData and AppData/Local, then installing from scrach helped.

This issue being reported by multiple users here is a significant part of why I have now shifted from "I can use it, but..." to "I have reverted to 1.2 and..." in my discussion of Galaxy 2.0 - the issue has not affected me, but I would rather not risk the likelihood of it happening to me. As such, I am now refusing to use 2.0 and will keep my system running 1.2 until they are providing a complete and stable new platform.

I only have one. And yes. I am 100% certain.

Yes, I can.

Oin7: In my case, uninstalling GoG completely, ten removing GoG directory from both ProgramData and AppData/Local, then installing from scrach helped.
I tried that several times... fruitlessly.

I also noticed that the only games that show in my library are those purchased in the year 2020.
Installing Galaxy 1.2.67 fixes this instantly.

I'm glad I'm not alone in this issue, although I'm sorry that others have also suffered this bug.
For now 2.0 has been a miserable failure as far as I'm concerned and its forceful implementation has been a very poor decision.

Alternatively, I could do what I am doing and post it only where it's relevant. And it's not "drama", it's pointing out that forcing users into beta testing against their explicit opt out of beta testing is a stupid idea. And that the beta isn't even a on the stable end of beta builds and needs a LOT of work to be ready to be pushed live like it has been.

Still much better than Steam's not-still-labelled beta that's an active health risk 6 months after launch, but it's not good.

And as long as there are conversations where sharing a link is relevant, I'll share a link. Sometimes, that might be a link to something I posted. Sorry if that offends you but, that sounds like a "you" problem.
3.7. 2020 update just came out.
The problem STILL persists, even after fresh install.
