Hi,

I'm currently reinstalling all my GOG games but for some of them the installation has failed and now, when I hover the mouse's cursor on the "Install" button I have the message "Could not get the data". I had installed them in the past so I know for sure it worked at some point but now something seems to be broken. I deleted the "webcache" and restarted GOG Galaxy but it's still not working...

Does someone have a solution for this problem?

I didn't see any error code. What happened is the games were downloaded and they failed at 97% when Galaxy executed the installer. No, I can't choose that since the game weren't installed. While the "install" button when I hover the games no longer work, if I right-click a game I can click "install" in the menu, it will start downloading the game again but it will still fail at 97%. Now that you mention it, I remember that years ago I had to delete the Galaxy database in the "storage" folder to fix a similar issue. I'll try that next weekend to see if it solves my problem. I forgot to report back but deleting the Galaxy database in "storage" did fix most of my issues.

There was still one game (namely "The Ball") that failed to work. With this one I noticed that when a game fail to install, while you cannot repair it, you can however uninstall it (go figure!) and this will reactivate the install button. So it's possible that deleting the database is not an absolute necessity.

About "The Ball", I managed to install it using this procedure: Install the game with the offline installer, import it in Galaxy ,it also failed but then I was able to use the Galaxy repair feature. Now the game seems to be OK.

Apparently, this is STILL an issue months later. The only reason I can imagine I'm having this issue is that E.A. switched from Origin to just "The E.A. App" and GOG says "Opening Origin" and then nothing happens

I'm here because of the same message - in my case, I had linked GoG to Steam, but found it to be too cumbersome and revoked the access. Terra Invicta was still on the list, however: the error when I pressed the greyed-out "Install" button was caused by the access I revoked. Hopefully the update I just installed will fix that - Galaxy needs better tools to manage the linking (and delinking) of games via other storefronts.
