I am looking to output and save my game libraries or collection as a list, or something that can be exported like a CSV file. Is that currently possible? If so, how? I looked a bit and it sounded like I might need to use Python to do it.

For my Steam games, I have been using a program called Depressurizer for this task. However, I own a lot of things that are not on Steam. Thanks to GOG Galaxy, I can see most of them in one place.

Darn. That sucks. It would be an useful feature.
the current build of Galaxy for Windows users is 2.0.45 which is a small fix for the Fuckwit in marketing who put a xmas banner with falling snow on the main page to stop peoples systems shutting down or going to sleep correct

of course to get to that build you have to first download 2.0.44.218 which you can only get from the offline server at https://content-system.gog.com/open_link/download?path=/open/galaxy/client/2.0.44.218/setup_galaxy_2.0.44.218.exe

and when you install that [need to uninstall any Galaxy first] then it says welcome to 2.0.38 because Gog has no clue or 'helpful' isn't really what I think they are aiming at, do you?

Playnite can export your games library to CSV, according to this closed ticket on the issue tracker. You'll need to check the Add-ons menu for GOG and Steam library integration. Since they're made by the author(s) of the application, they might already be built-in.

As for GOG Galaxy, you can vote for Exporting game list/bookmark/tags to text/xml file in the community wishlist, or create a new wish if you want to keep it just about the game library. You can also click the cogwheel in the top left and choose Submit Feedback to fill out a questionnaire that asks about missing features, among other things.

Merry Christmas.

No detours necessary. ;)
