Ok so ive not booted up GOG in a while and just did so to update Cyberpunk, after Launching gog it updates to the latest version and BAM all my shortcuts from Steam, epic, UBI and EA are blank white boxes they won't launch anything and they are not associated with any program.

I have tried to make new shortcuts using the original platforms ie: Steam, Origin and Epic the just make blank white boxes with no file associations.

GOG has broken all of them (CHEERS FOR THAT)

so now I can't create shortcuts with any of the linked platforms on GOG ie: Steam, Epic, Ubi the only 2 icons I have that are still working is the 2 games I have installed on GOG.

i have no idea how to fix this problem.

Ok so quick update it seems that the GOG app is changing the file associations to .URL files which is what all the other platforms use for their shortcuts.
I have had to navigate my registry using regedit and delete the .URL folder in the registry then reboot and I can now make shortcuts again.

The registry key can be found using the regedit command in the search on your taskbar bar then click registry editor to bring up the registry editor.
Navigate to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts
then find the .URL folder and delete it close regeditor and reboot that fixed it for me.
