Opened up Galaxy this morning to see an ad "Hear the Songs of Conquest!"

Do not want to ads on the recent screen.
If I want to see what's new I'll click the Store
Please do not put ads in Galaxy, even if they are for your own products in your own store.

I totally agree.

I'm happy to see promotions on the store page... but that's all. I cannot tolerate ads on any other screen. If the recent screen is to have ads, then I just cannot use that screen any more.

I was very pleased when galaxy added the option to customise the recent screen - including the removal of the 'what others are playing' section, I thought that I could finally get some value out of that screen now that it only showed stuff that I wanted to see... But as I said, having ads on there basically means I will never use that screen.

Fortunately, the game library screen is pretty good anyway; so I don't feel like I'm missing much by avoiding 'recent'.

GoG - if I wanted to see ads and useless crap shoved in my face then I'd be using Steam.

Keep your ads solely in the game store and out of the launcher.
