I am going to send a friend's child a copy of Zoo Tycoon for her birthday but I have a couple of questions – can anyone help me out?

I've read that there are user-created items for this game. Where can I find those so I can send her the link or links?

Also, Amazon sells like a ten different versions – is the Complete Collection a good choice or do you recommend a specific game?

Thanks for the help! These games came out after my son was little so I’m a bit clueless ;-p Also, I don’t see a digital version so I got get this shipped ASAP…(bad momo for waiting until the last second :-()

Ooo, something I can help with!

I HIGHLY recommend getting the Complete Collection. That is the original Zoo Tycoon, along with the Dinosaur Digs and Marine Mania expansions.

The very best place you can go to find user-created items is the Zoo Tycoon Community Downloads Directory. You'll find anything and everything you can think of there. I was a designer for ZT1 for six years, and most of my work can be found, not only at ZTCDD, but also at my main ZT site, Zoo Tek Phoenix. Lovely people, great and friendly forum, and some of the very best user-created items on the 'net!

Since we're on the subject, I would LOVE to see ZTCC on GOG! Please vote for it on the wishlist HERE. :D

Understandable :) I loved ZT2, myself, but it wasn't as compelling as ZT1 was for me.

i loved the original zoo tycoon 1 collection , still have it my hopes were crushed with the zoo tycoon 2 it just wasn't anything zoo tycoon 1 was.

i did try a few community creations but the best way was to play a open game with all expansions so you can start empty zoo and build a ultimate zoo with seaworld animals and dinos

if the game runs odd just set it to windows xp sp3 compatibility , don't think they patched for windows 7 and later
