Almak: I really like the game. Fighting system is among the best ones I've ever seen. And most definitely is one of the more immersive ones out there.
I really wish that the experience wasn't so guided though. The world they created is so vivid and alive that I always wanted to just have an opportunity to explore it and interact with it beyond introducing a fist to its face several times over.
Also for characters which are as recurring as in Zeno Clash they are surprisingly underdeveloped. The overall motivation for the conflict is clear but the individual stories are unfortunately never told (particularly of the family). What's even more bizarre is the fact that they do exist, they were thought out (or at least in a rudimentary state) as can be seen here:

Just never really implemented.
I really hope that the overall positive response will yield good sales for the game so that the inevitable sequel can be a little more encompassing. Though ultimately I'm just projecting here, I'll buy it regardless as I cant wait to have some more Zeno Clash!
there is "DLC" coming that's free.

Weclock: there is "DLC" coming that's free.
If were talking about the same DLC I red about that would be a map editor not an expansion. Unless they announced something I haven't heard about which is entirely possible.
I do like the fact that they are supporting the product post release though.

ElPixelIlustre: down arrow+strong punch ---> up arrow = win

The supercharge attack is very powerful, but it's risky, especially when against the faster opponents. Personally I found it less useful when fighting the Corwids, as they are very dodgy, especially the headbutting guy. In this case, I usually wait for him to attack, then deliver a side dodge-blow, before beating the shit out of him
My personal record for the level 1 tower is 8 mins 3 secs. What are you guys' records?

Still cant crack any of the other levels though. Even after the patch they are pretty tough, my tactics of strong hit + combo + finisher rarely works any more. :(

Speaking of finisher, do you mean the uppercut? I have a question: does it hit only one target, or multiple if the stunned opponent is being surrounded by his buddies?

Yup the uppercut.
In theory I suppose its entirely possible for it to hit multiple enemies but personally I went through 4 hours of single player and about 1:30 hours of challenge mode and it never did. May be because as opposed to the powerful right hook swing (which does that), the uppercut has such a narrow damage radius that it either never does that or chances of doing that are very small.

I've had the upper cut knock down additional enemies, but only because the main enemy hit them in air.
Ok good to know that. I thought I'd seen my character hit multiple enemies in one single blow before with the uppercut, but never been able to replicate it just now, try as I might. I thought it'd be pretty unfair if you could uppercut multiple targets, but glad to know that isn't the case
Can't wait to see what the DLC specifically holds
