I thought I would start a thread to see what members of gog would like to see in the functions of the Wish List itself. Not what games to go on it, but how to make the Wish List itself better.
I will start.
1. Make all pages in the list 2 column format.
2. Remove the most voted games from the front page and give it its own tab.
3. Sort games Alphabetically, By Genre, Most Voted, etc.
4. Create a Master Database by Publisher of all games they produced.
5. Have the search function clear itself after each use.
I will stop there for now, but I think this may help gog know what users are looking for, but remember be constructive and be nice! :o)

I would like the ability to add a link to a more detailed article about the game, so people can get that info if they so choose.

That's not so hard to code, furthermore. Just add a link which perform a quicksearch to the mobygames network.

Sorting alphabetically and by votes.
Automatic removal of games already on the service (Why does Messiah have 5 votes? If you want it buy it already).

I agree with that fully. A way to sort the games on the list would be wonderful. Perhaps also have the ability to sort by genre.

I don't know where it has been said (already and not once), the GOG team is already cleaning the wishlist, they just don't have an automatic service which does it. So sometimes before the (daily?) cleanup, some games may appear in the wishlist where they haven't their place.

All of what has already been listed, plus these nuisances that I have already seen a few times now:
- Prevent the posting of blank titles
- Prevent double-posting of titles
- A direct link to the wishlist on the main page (rather than just in the news article)

Yes... having a link to the wish list on the navigation banner (top of the pages) would be nice.
I'd also like to see the "Previous/Next Page" buttons at the top of the list as well as the bottom.
Also jump to specific pages, last page, first page, etc.

Another one:
- Some way to either report near duplicates or request the merging of near duplicates
For example, I was just poking around in the wishlist and found four separate entries that should be condensed to two entries. One was labeled "Star Wars: X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter" while its near duplicate was just labeled "X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter". Similarly there is also "Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance" and "X-Wing Alliance". Because of these similar titles, the voting on them is being split. In the case of X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter, its not a significant difference (one of them only has 15 votes), but the two separate X-Wing Alliance entries each have over 100 votes, when they should be combined into a single entry with over 200 votes (assuming people didn't vote for both entries).
