Pharaoh is one of my favs as is Tropic. I have played every simcity and 3 and 4 are the best IMHO, but the console version was whacky and fun as hell. I also have all of the rollercoaster tycoons and they can be both fun and challenging. With RCT3 you get to ride the rides that you build.
