There are a few reasons really.
The main ones are to contribute back to an awesome community and instead of making 1 person happy over a year (me), I get to make about 52 people happy :) Pretty cool if you ask me.
Also, it helps support GOG! Some people might try games they wouldn't have tried otherwise... it's all good stuff :D
