What a great game,
when do u think they will get it?
http://www.gog.com/en/wanted/
When those who have the rights have made a deal with GoG to sell it here. In other words; it's hard to say. In the mean time you can go vote for it on the wishlist.
Oh, and prepare for people who reacts like the attached picture.

Considering Team17 have released the game on tons of formats, I think it's pretty likely we'll see it on GOG in the future. But I want the original version then. I prefer it over the later ones because of the customisable graphics. I still have self-made maps which were a hoot to play.
Back when it was just released, I was 16 and my friend had the great idea of using bikini models from a Swimsuit Calender CD ROM he had. The result was 3 or 4 girls wearing almost nothing with our worms blowing holes in their ass and boobs (because those were the areas our worms would be standing on since they offered ... space).

We've already linked to the Wishlist. That should be the end of the thread.

Should be... but it never is.

I'm hoping so as well, but Team 17 seems a bit disinterested in the PC right now. Hopefully they'll see the light eventually. They have a number of older games that would be cool to have on GOG, not just Worms.
They have medication for this...
well, if you're impatient and you're playing on PC, you can always try Wormux, a free colne of Worms
http://www.wormux.org/phpboost/news/news.php
Available for Linux, Windows and other OS ;)
I hope they announce they're bringing Worms 3D to GOG, because that would cause a lot of angry keyboard-flinging.

Agree with that.
I remember having so much fun with my brother, making custom maps with DPaint on the good old Amiga.
It was really well-thought for this time, you could even decide colors of the sky and the sea, and also the gravity and friction, all that with just adding 4 numbers in the map title (or in the file description, I'm not sure).
Aw, good memories!
Thank you guys for getting back to me and for the links.

I like Worms, too.

You can always contact them, maybe they'll give you a hint? (but I wouldn't bet on that, they like to make surprise releases)
But I don't think Worms will appear here (in GOG).
But if GOG offer a good deal (don't forget they sucessfully added Activision games to the catalogue), I think it's possible.
Surprisingly enough it seems the latest 2D Worms game is coming to Steam soon. Team 17 could certainly gain some good PR surrounding that launch by releasing Worms 1 & 2 here.
