The worst series on Youtube would be from Pew Die Pie. The guy's biggest gimmick seems to be making rape jokes while yelling in annoying voice pitches. Somehow this has managed to stretch across 1000+ videos.

I could tell you about how I still discover new things in the game despite having played it the whole year. I could praise the zelda-like gameplay that doesn't patronize you, but challenges you to get better. I could mention that it's short enough for a run or two even when you don't have much time for gaming. But what really takes the cake for me is the dark surreal humour that somehow manages to be cute and gross at the same time. It's like a child toying with adult things and tackling adult concepts without really understanding them.

FTL. especially with all the mods that have come out for FTL this is the clear Roguelike winner, even vanilla its a unique and entertaining Roguelike. tons of random events, plenty of enemies and unique weapons, upgrade shops, 'terrain' differences, and the ability to increase your team size with alien races should you choose to. tons of replayability to unlock new ships to pilot and new internal configurations of ships. The Star Trek mod shall be mine!

For Avadon: What is The World's Best Roguelike?

This is a tough one, because Nethack and ADOM are both on my toplist. But because I have to choose, I say it's ADOM (Ancient Domains of Mystery).

The reason for this is:

1. It has a semi-random world, which means all it's locations are always on same places, but the contents of dungeons / etc. is randomly generated. That way, I can always head for specific dungeon, and when I get there, it still feels fresh.

2. Lots of choices for character builds. The game has a really robus character creation system, which let's you mix and match races / jobs freely. Want a troll wizard? Just do it!

3. Lots and lots and lots of looot! :)

4. Corruption system is unique, and it creates tension as your character slowly corrupts to a hideous monster! :O

5. The game is FREE!

I think, that I might have come up with more good reasons, but these are the main points for me. If you haven't tried ADOM yet, try now, it's FREE!!! :D
