I apologize for criticizing F2P games. I commented on the wrong topic. I'll try to wander back to the friendly section of GOG if I can find it from here.
You don't cease to generalize, do you?
I want it on GOG.

javier0889: But in true Witcher fashion, instead of pay-to-win it should be pay-to-see-more-tits :P
I can get on board with THAT.
Since I generally like board games I'm more interested in PC versin (Board game version) than MOBA. Looking forward for closed beta. If i'd be able to get beta key :)
Hope it works with my Lumia 520... :/

yyahoo: There is no way to do that "right". That's quite a black mark on CDPR's reputation in my book, but to each their own.
It can be done right, for instance when players can only buy cosmetic items. Haven't played LoL myself but from what I've heard the purchases won't really give you any advantages, it's mainly about bling bling. In my opinion also premium accounts that just speed up progress are perfectly legitimate (the thing CDPR apparently chose to do in this case). F2P can be done right, it's just hard to do so.

I'm rather offended by the fact that CDPR are jumping on the MOBA train. Everyone can make another clone of a popular game, CDPR has the resources and know-how to create truly original and ambitious stuff. It's just such a waste...

So F2P games that only sell costumes are actually successful? Wow, I underestimate the shallowness of gamers. Now, these cosmetic only F2Ps, they don't have any forced in game advertising do they? Paid ads would certainly help pad the dev's wallets as well.

*facepalm*
So, no matter how F2P games decide to work, you're going to condemn them? Games which sell an advantage are stupid for selling an advantage and people who pay in games which don't are dumb for buying anything?

Have you ever considered the possibility that the most funds going into F2P games which work on cosmetics come from players who enjoy the game and want to put money down to support it?

I guess I'm just too cynical to believe in the format. Sorry...
As I said on another forum, not my thing, but as long as they keep their word and they won't exaggerate with the in-game buying and all that shit, I guess it's okay...
This game is going to let you play solo if you're away from wifi and don't want to use data, pretty awesome in my books. I've never gotten into a MOBA before but if anything will get me to try it, this will be it.

Ahahaha, god, you are so naive. Ever heard of Team Fortress 2?

javier0889: Wasn't a graphic adventure Witcher on the works or I was too drunk when I heard that?
You must be drunk a long time, decause that game was supposed to come out the last century.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Witcher#Video_games

In 1996 and 1997 a Witcher video game was being developed by Metropolis, a development studio in Poland, but was eventually cancelled.

It seems that I'm the one that is drunk. If you are preordering Witcher 3 they are offering you 2 keys to the Wither Adventure game.
