The company would benefit, but the games aren't worth it imho. I played two of them, and both were atrociously bad. Repetitive gameplay, bad writing, amateurish voice acting, clichéd characters, interactions and dialog that could have been taken straight from the cheapest soap operas in TV ... I really wouldn't recommend these games.

Your thread title is wrong btw. "White Wolf" is the RPG system that spawned (among other things) Vampire: The Masquerade. Winter Wolves is the publisher that you probably intended to talk about.
The GF really liked Cinders and is really enjoying Loren The Amazon Princess as well. Maybe they just aren't for you :)

Holy crap! Thank you! I stumble on them before, and was planning on buying Planet Stronghold. I forgot to bookmark it, and forgot the name as well. I searched long and hard to find it again, but I never did. Now I can finally get around to buying it. Well, you know, as soon as I stop being broke.

That's possible, but then they "aren't for me" in the same way like "Beverly Hills 90210" or any other cheap, badly acted soap opera about "plastic romance and sex while never addressing the subject in a grown up or even halfway interesting manner" isn't for me.

I realize that taste varies, but at some point, I decided that these games are really bad enough to warrant absolute statements instead of just "I didn't like them". Playing them was too painful.

I didn't play the two games you mentioned though. The one's I played were "Bionic Heart" and "Spirited Heart", and there is of course the possibility that I picked the two turds from an otherwise well-written selection. But judging from the writing, game design, and character design that I saw in those two games, I seriously doubt that.

whether the games are bad or not are irrelevant.

it's always good to have more choices.

(If you want a GOOD game, Phantasmaburbia is a good JRPG esque game that reminded me of Earthbound, can't remember who made it)
