What is it with Windows 7. It seems I am always reading about people with problems running GOG games with it. I still have Vista (though I'd rather have XP), and it seems scary to think i might get stuck with 7 and all it's bugs....

Uww uww I figured it out!

Windows 7 is not a bad deal. You may have to make a minor tweak here and there for certain games, but it's not so bad, and I've found it to be more compatible with recent releases designed for XP than Vista.

Out of the 300 something games I have only around 5 have given me trouble.

But I guess that cartoon has a point. After all, when I started playing Final Fantasy 7 on PC, I already knew that something quite significant will happen at some point of the game, which is supposed to move me emotionally. So when it finally happened, I didn't make a peep, let alone a long "Noooooooooooooo...!" scream. Maybe that's why the game didn't have such a huge impact on me, as it did to many other people. I didn't become emotionally attached because I knew already what would happen.

(not spoiling it now either if someone is yet to play FF7!!!)

This is one the game where most of people you have in your party die. I felt no connection with them whatsoever. They all felt so unimportant and episodic, almost like units in rts....
