ZamFear: There's a bot that automatically reverts edits with profanity. However it only does it once, so all the vandal has to do is undo the bot's edit.
Wikipedia vandals are a special kind of idiot, since it takes less effort to clean up an article than it does to deface it.

Well, rather since it costs humanity as a whole resources. After all, the vandalism stays saved forever, and even though it's not much space individually, it adds up. Wikipedia was designed to stay forever - but it costs huge amounts of money so vandalism in effect does also cost them money.
Although there were also rumors that a good part of the money goes into dubios things like a few dozen thousand dollars for offices in the foundation that nobody knows what they do at all...

Miaghstir: Fortunately, changes can also be undone by anyone, as I just proved.

Wishbone: Well done. Now, is there a way to report defacers and get their accounts banned?

Heheh...one of my favorites on there was a page dedicated to the Bronte sisters' brother. Made him sound epicly silly. Died standing up, you know.
