PhoenixWright: The only thing I heard was "show a friend this video." It seemed to be more about the argument than the organization.
The video is theirs and on their site. It's an endorsement, no matter how little he's shouting about it. He might not be as fanatical about it as, say, Tom Cruise is about Scientology, but it's still an endorsement.
You wouldn't appear on a white supremacist website if it meant you could talk about the working conditions of children in Nike sweatshops. McCartney's appearance on a video by these terrorists is equally ill advised.
PhoenixWright: His involvement definitely helps, but it seems like PETA is the best way to get information like this video out, even moreso because topics like this start.
Topics like this that centre on how terrible PETA is and completely ignores any animal welfare issues raised in said videos, you mean?
PETA undermines any cause they fight for. Regardless of how right the cause is, their involvement is damaging.
BladderOfDoom: I do not see any difference whatsoever between the harvesting of crops of other plants and the slaughter of animals. Unless you can photosynthesise something has got to die. Promoting vegetarianism or veganism as the only 'moral' way to live is pathetic and short sighted.
When you take into account the number of animals that die as a result of pesticides, harvesting etc, it's outright fucking ludicrous. Animal cruelty can be greatly reduced. There's no denying that. But to expect to end it entirely is typical PETA insanity.
