So the post says it all - why are you here on the forums instead of playing all those lovely games you got in the Summer Sale?

For me, it's a case of knowing that if I boot up a game, my entire day will be gone before I know it, and I'm too tired to start playing a game.

So, I'm hanging out on the forum whilst my computer farms Steam cards.

How people got 40-50 euros from just selling Steam cards boggles my mind.

All I keep thinking about is the percentage Steam takes off every transaction. An entirely Steam invented, digital Trading Card system for Steam games must rake them in a fair amount of change. Steam is making money from nothing. All these cards do is add experience to your Steam level. There's nothing tangible about any of it except for the real money people are spending to buy the cards.

I'm not complaining, mind you, I earned enough to get Baldur's Gate II Enhanced Edition in the sale for free. Just... amazed at what people will spend money on. :) I say, viva la Steam cards! I get free games out of it!

Because I'm working right now... I can't fire up a game during work (I would forget working and end up playing games all the day), but I can drop one or two postings when I need a break from ... THIS:

Lately I have only spent a few minutes a day checking up if any new discussions have popped up or gaming news in general but otherwise I've been playing more than usual because due to summer break from studies since early June.

Waiting for my Graphic card Drivers to update. Gone in 3.... 2.... 1....

Much like real.geizterfahr, I am here as often as I am because I check the site from work. Unless there's a time-sensitive event happening, I am usually not around during the evenings and on the weekend. That is the time when I attempt to put a dent into my shelf full of games. ^_^;

Remember when you were a kid and you fell ill and you got to stay home from school and you thought to yourself, "Yay, a whole day away from school to do whatever I want!".

But then you spent the whole day in bed hacking up a lung and generally feeling so grotty that all you really wanted to do was die. You didn't do *anything* with the day, and then it turned out to be a bad flu which meant you spent an entire week in bed being ill. You were happy to go back to school after that!

Well, not being able to do things because you can't concentrate or you're just too tired sucks the big one. Wish I was well enough to work and be at work thinking about all those lovely games I could play when I got off work. :)

What is this "Playing" you speak of?

They are being overcome by cluster flies recently to the point that they might actually be in danger. That's why I've kind of been a tad irritable in here the last few days, it's starting to really get to me.

Oops, sorry :( I didn't know that flies can be that dangerous. What exactly is it they're doing? Has it something to do with their *pulls out dictionary* larvae? Or how can flies be a hazard to big animals?

The people here were pretty cool and had awesome interesting discussions. That was two years ago. It's still okay now but it seems like the average user's age fell with the exit of a lot of long-time members and I feel like this place has suffered for it.

Nowadays I just sort of hang around out of habit. As to why I'm not playing games it's because I have to be in the mood and I'm hardly in the mood so I've been relegated to "collector" because of it.

But you do that while you're waiting for the next game on your wishlist to come up in the flash sales rotation! :)

Because, as bizarre as it may sound, reading about games and discussing them can be as fun as playing them.
